If tomorrow, everybody woke up with the ability to observe the non-physical-ness of our bodies, like the interconnecting rivers of energies in constant motion, varying states of stagnancy and the density or clarity of our thoughts and emotions, could there soon be the beginnings of an overhaul of our current healthcare system?

Energy is everything!
The electromagnetism which forms the basis of our physical being is comprised energetically, of what we feed it and have fed it in the past, such as the; emotions, thoughts, foods, drugs, company we keep, environment we live and work in and the history of our past. So many layers of complex interactions are taking place within ourselves and our individual Universes, showing us who we perceive ourselves to be. It all contributes to the landscape of our health and wellbeing and gives us ongoing signals of infinite possibilities for expansion beyond where we have been before.
When I facilitate my remote acupuncture treatments I ask the energy of All That Is for any information that may assist. During a recent session I became aware of a lot of heat around the back of my client’s neck and was shown an ice cube placed on the nape. I then vaguely recalled hearing of an ice cube remedy that was useful for relieving headaches. When I searched I discovered the remedy is actually stimulating a particular acupuncture point, called Fengfu GV16.
Fengfu translates as ‘Wind Palace’ and is a point on the Governing Vessel meridian.
This meridian is a river of energy beginning in your lower abdomen (your uterus or prostate) and emerging at your perineum (between the genitalia and anus where it’s first acupuncture point lies) and travels your midline behind and upwards within your spinal column, into the nape of your neck, continuing up the curve over the top of your head and down the middle of your forehead, nose and ending inside your top lip. The direction of this flow is shown in the red arrows on the diagram.
It forms a circuit with the Conception Vessel which meets at either end and runs up the front midline of your body, shown in green arrows on the diagram.
This energetic loop encompasses both our yin (front) and yang (back) energies and creates what is known as our microcosmic orbit. This is the energetic loop which carried the energy and information required for us as a foetus to begin developing in our mother's womb. It's a basis of our energetic selves which we can tune into, in meditations, through these two vessels which are inseparable.

Yang qualities include:
Light
above
Loud
Conscious
Mars
Full Moon
Gemini
Aries
Action
Aggression
Spring & Summer
Yin qualities include:
Darkness
Below
Quiet
Unconscious
New Moon
Scorpio
Cancer
Reflection
Gentleness
Autumn & Winter
When our yin and yang energy is balanced we are functioning optimally with strong, robust health and we experience our innate drive to progress on a satisfying journey of transformation and expansion.
Symptoms of Yang deficiency include:
Feeling the cold easily and unable to keep yourself warm
Sluggish circulation and bodily processes
Low energy
Feeling like you’ve lost your fire, spark
Withdrawing from interactions with others
Shutting down of creative processes
Being in survival mode
When you look at these kind of symptoms you can see how conditions such as hypothyroidism (which I am in the midst of recovering from myself), chronic fatigue and infertility can be interpreted as a yang deficiency. You also don't need to have obvious signs of dis-ease to experience the benefits of this treatment. Consider it a refreshing rejuvenation for all levels of your being.
The Fengfu point on the nape of your neck is shown here:

It sits in the soft depression between your occipital bone and the atlas vertebrae which cradles your skull. If you feel around the back of head you can also measure it as one thumb width, up from where your hairline starts.
Placing an ice cube here, stimulates the meridian and blood flow to the area. Acupuncture is all about balance so if there is too much heat in the yang meridian, it will help clear it away. Or if there is cold there, it will disperse it. Either way, if deficient or in excess, stimulation of this point will assist greatly in regulating your yang meridian.
The bundle of nervous tissue contained in the spinal cord is given a nourishing energy which has widespread regulatory effects for your entire physiology, bringing balance physically, emotionally, psychologically and within your spirit.
Treatment
The ice cube treatment consists of lying on your front, placing the cube (inside a ziplock plastic bag if you prefer it not to drip) onto the point for 20 minutes. You can wrap a cloth around the back of your head to hold it in place with your fist at the front holding the ends of the cloth and supporting your forehead. Or find another way that's comfortable for you.
Do this first thing in the morning and again at night before bed for two or three days on, then two or three days off. Continue that pattern for as long as your body desires it. Check in with your body and ask it if it requires it that day or not.
This is a simple and powerful energy treatment that anyone can do for themselves. Notice the subtle and maybe not so subtle changes that occur. I personally perceived a potent flow of energy upwards into my brain following each of the first few treatments. It was very satisfying to know and feel my brain and spinal cord being nourished and vitalised in this way. My energy levels increased and my creativity experienced a welcome boost. Within less than a fortnight of doing the treatment I developed a vast new way of clearing in my belief work which has had a profound effect on how I catalyse change within my ever evolving self and in my facilitation with clients.
If you gift yourself this treatment I’d be very interested to know the impact it has on you.
