The ancient Chinese art of auricular (ear) acupuncture has also developed in Europe, specifically by Dr Paul Nogier of France who made a great contribution in the mapping of the ear points.

 

   As you can see, the ear, like the feet in Reflexology, is a microcosm of the entire body.

   Every system and organ of the body has a corresponding point which makes this alternative medicine a highly effective tool for creating change in the body.

 

   The changes are brought about by the stimulation of the body's own regenerative capacities. Your body has a medicine kit within it which is far more potent than any manufactured drugs.

   For example; the body's own natural opiates, known as endorphins, are 100 times more powerful than manufactured morphine which is semi-synthetic or totally synthetic and designed to imitate the natural opiate.

   In my years of experience working within the NHS Drug & Alcohol Addiction Services and Mental Health Acute wards, there was a remarkable change reported by patients especially with regard to musculoskeletal pain, addictions, insomnia, depression and anxiety.

 

   I trained with the British College of Auricular Acupuncture and received my Comprehensive Diploma in Auricular Acupuncture and Electro-Acupuncture in London in 2006.
